Cubana
Cubana sits on the hottest block in Durban, Florida Road. Florida Road offers options for most tastes, so depending upon your mood, you have a choice of the laid-back and sophisticated or the loud and proud party vibes at venues that stay open until the early hours of the morning. While we were there on a Sunday night, a supposed “quiet” night for Cubana, the spot was far from quiet. In last two hours before closing, the restaurant started to resemble a club, with house music bumping by a local dj and people bouncing from table to table with drinks and laughter. Go there for dinner and stay for the drinks and dancing.

Eyadini
Eyadini is the perfect spot for a weekend day party after having your way with the city life in Durban. 30 minutes from city center in Umlazi, a township southwest of Durban, Eyadini’s braii (“barbecue” or “to grill”) is LIT! No really, its flame is lit and providing some of the best grilled dishes (made from meat you pick yourself!) you’ve ever had. Savor your meal as you jam to a mix of South African & American jams with the rest of the packed house. Prepare the stay through the evening, because the party gets crazier as the sun starts to set.

Egagasini & Mondise MVG
Mondise MVG is a massive underground club that rests a short distance from the beach. Come ready to party, as the venue gives a Vegas feel with two indoor pools filled with bikini clad dancers, impeccably dressed patrons, and constant bottle service to VIP. If you’re looking for a true club experience in Durban, Egagasini’s Mondise MVG is the place to go.

BONUS LITUATION: The Concert at the Durban Essence Festival!
We also had the pleasure of attending the first Essence Festival in Durban and when you go in 2017 (because you are definitely going!), you must hit the concert. We went with a group of friends and everyone agreed that it was hands-down one of the best concerts they've been to. Outside of Ne-Yo, the concert was all South African artists, and they killed the stage! Here's a peak into our concert experience!
