day 1: WELCOME TO NAIROBI!

Karibu Kenya! You’re finally here!  We’ll whisk you away from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) after your arrival into Nairobi and take you to your accommodations. After you get settled into your new digs, we’ll introduce you to the rest of your crew for the week; an intimate group of individuals from all over the world ready to experience Kenya’s culture and history.

As a group, we’ll all head to our welcome dinner and kick off our new journey together.

day 2: THE HEARTBEAT OF NAIROBI

The best way to get to know a destination is by gaining a bit of its history. Today, we’ll be taking you on a tour that gives you a deep dive into Nairobi’s roots. We’ll immediately immerse ourselves in the local culture by trekking through the city to visit historical landmarks, sampling traditional foods, learning about the people, visiting the world famous Giraffe Center, and getting our first taste of Kenyan hospitality. The day promises deep culture, inspiration, and unforgettable memories.

day 3: JOURNEY TO THE MAASAI

Today we’ll leave Nairobi behind as we embark on a scenic drive through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, with stops to admire panoramic views. We’ll arrive at the world-renowned Maasai Mara, where your luxury safari camp awaits.

In the evening, we’ll visit a local Maasai village to learn about their time-honored customs and vibrant traditions through storytelling, dance, and crafts before returning to camp for a relaxing dinner under a canopy of stars.

DAY 4: safari dreams

Be ready to be wowed as we embark on a full-day safari in the Maasai Mara Reserve, one of the most celebrated wildlife regions in the world. We’ll traverse the expansive savannah in search of the Big Five, alongside cheetahs, zebras, and exotic bird species followed by a scenic lunch amidst the wild, where the sounds of nature provide the perfect backdrop.

With each moment, your connection to the untamed beauty of Kenya deepens, strengthening your connection to your homeland.

day 5: a taste of nairobi

Now that you’ve gotten a chance to see Kenya’s wild side, we’ll return to Nairobi to settle into a hands-on cooking session led by our celebrated Kenyan chef.

Explore the spices, techniques, and stories behind beloved Kenyan dishes. Fellowship and bond with your group as you prepare your own meal and savor the fruits of your labor. This evening will be a delicious celebration of culture, community, and culinary creativity.

DAY 6: coastal bliss in lamu!

Wheels up! After a short morning flight to Lamu, we’ll take a boat transfer to our boutique hotel on this idyllic coastal island. We'll spend the afternoon unwinding as we embark on a traditional dhow cruise at sunset.

Expect nothing less than pure bliss as you glide across the shimmering waters of the Indian Ocean, basking in the golden glow and gentle sea breeze. This serene experience is the perfect introduction to Lamu’s enchanting charm.

DAY 7: exploring lamu

Today we’ll take a step back in time with a guided walking tour of Lamu Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll stroll through the narrow, winding streets lined with centuries-old Swahili architecture. We’ll visit bustling markets, historic mosques, and artisan workshops to immerse you into the town’s vibrant culture.

Through this experience, you’ll walk away with insights into the fusion of Arab, African, and Indian influences that make Lamu a cultural gem.

DAY 8: COASTAL SERENITY

Cool out. On this day you’ll indulge in a day of relaxation & exploration at your own pace. Begin with an optional yoga session overlooking the ocean, then later in the day venture to a unique floating attraction near the archipelago. Whether you decide to lounge on the resort's private beach, or head to town to mingle with the locals, today is yours to create lasting memories of coastal paradise.

In the evening, we'll come together one last time for a celebratory farewell dinner. Let our last meal together as a travel crew be a time to reflect on the unforgettable time Kenya gave you, and for the memorable experience you gave yourself.

DAY 9: IT'S SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE

We know, it feels like you just got here, but it’s time to say goodbye. As your journey comes to an end, enjoy a leisurely morning before catching your return flight to Nairobi. The week may have flown by, but the memories and friendships you've made will last forever.
